About
I’m an artist and maker whose practice is informed by a sense of place and the inherent beauty of materials. My pieces reflect an ongoing exploration of the relationship between meaning and simplicity, in which I look to balance form, surface and function. Rooted in artisanal craftsmanship, I often explore ideas in parallel, working on a number of collections simultaneously.
After gaining a first-class degree in Silversmithing & Jewellery from Sheffield Polytechnic, I was studio assistant to Professor David Watkins at the Royal College of Art, London, making jewellery and sculptures for international exhibition. Following an MA in Product Design at Central Saint Martins, I spent time in international design and innovation consultancy before returning to my craft roots to design and make refined objects in both ceramic and metal. My studio is based in Cambridge, UK.
