Inversion Series
These sculptural vessels and grouped pieces investigate the relationship between internal and external forms, volumes and surfaces. Pieces in porcelain and stoneware are often cut or constructed such that the original inner surfaces and enclosed volumes become externalised. I’m particularly attentive to the lines and thresholds that these resulting intersections form.
Wildlife
These pieces look to capture the character and essence of the animal at a given moment. I’m especially interested in finding sculptural lines to portray this, rather than making a detailed facsimile.
