2019 - 2022

As I’ve developed my practice I have worked on both bodies of work such as Vessels and Wildlife sculpture, as well as and one-off brief driven pieces both in metalwork and ceramics.

Vessels

My sculptural vessels and grouped pieces investigate the relationship between internal and external forms, volumes and surfaces. Pieces in porcelain and stoneware are often cut or constructed such that the original inner surfaces and enclosed volumes become externalised. I’m particularly attentive to the lines and thresholds that these resulting intersections form.

Wildlife

In these pieces I’m looking to capture the character and essence of the animal at a given moment. I’m especially interested in finding sculptural lines which portray this, rather than making a detailed facsimile.

Metalwork

Originally trained as a Silversmith & Jeweller and then working in international design and innovation consultancy, I have worked on one-off pieces and designed to brief set out by various clients.
